IELTS Form & Note Completion Practice
IELTS Academic · Listening · 21 free exercises
You complete a form, table or set of notes as you listen — names, dates, prices, addresses and phone numbers. It is Section 1’s staple, and most lost marks here are spelling and format, not comprehension.
How to approach it
- Spelling counts. Names and places are usually spelled out in the audio — write them letter by letter as you hear them.
- Check the word limit and the format: dates, currency symbols and plurals all have to be right.
- Predict what kind of answer each gap needs — a number, a name, a time — before the audio starts.
- Speakers correct themselves ("sorry, make that Tuesday"). The second version is the answer.
