IELTS Map & Plan Labelling Practice
IELTS Academic · Listening · 4 free exercises
You label a map, plan or diagram while the recording describes it. It usually appears in Section 2, and it is lost or won in the twenty seconds before the audio starts.
How to approach it
- Use the preparation time to find the starting point and the compass, and to read every label already printed.
- Follow the speaker’s route in order — the answers come in the order they are described.
- Learn the direction language cold: opposite, adjacent to, at the far end, clockwise, on your left.
- If you lose your place, skip to the next label rather than trying to recover the last one. The audio plays once.
