IELTS Academic practice — free, from real past papers

IELTS Academic is scored in bands from 0 to 9 across four papers — Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking — and most universities ask for 6.5 or 7.0 overall. Everything below comes from real Cambridge IELTS past papers, is free, and is marked instantly, with Writing marked by an AI examiner on the official band descriptors.

What you can practise

Reading: full academic passages with the real question types — True/False/Not Given, matching headings, matching information and features, summary and sentence completion, diagram labelling and multiple choice. Every answer is marked and located in the passage.

Listening: all four sections with authentic past-paper audio — form and note completion, map and plan labelling, matching and multiple choice — with the transcript to study afterwards.

Writing marked by an AI examiner: write Task 1 or Task 2 and get an estimated band in about a minute on the four official descriptors — Task Achievement, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range and Accuracy — with corrections quoted from your own script. The grader was calibrated against the band-scored sample answers printed in the Cambridge IELTS books.
