The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and in 2010.
City Hospital 2007 and City Hospital 2010
Two schematic maps of the same site, one above the other, with a compass showing north at the top and a key for bus stops. FIRST MAP, titled 'City Hospital 2007': City Hospital is a large rectangle enclosed on its north, west and east sides by Ring Road, which loops around the hospital and passes along its south side. Hospital Rd runs straight south from the south side of Ring Road to a crossroads with City Road, which runs east to west across the bottom of the map; Hospital Rd continues a short way south beyond City Road. There are six bus stops along Hospital Rd, three on each side of the road. East of Hospital Rd, between Ring Road and City Road, is a car park labelled 'Car park: staff and public', entered from Ring Road. SECOND MAP, titled 'City Hospital 2010': the hospital and Ring Road are unchanged, but the road layout has been redeveloped. A roundabout has been built where Hospital Rd meets Ring Road, and a second roundabout where Hospital Rd meets City Road. All six bus stops on Hospital Rd have gone; instead there is a new bus station on the west side of Hospital Rd, between the two roundabouts, with an access road into it from each roundabout. The car park east of Hospital Rd is now a staff car park only, still entered from Ring Road. A new public car park has been built east of the hospital, outside the eastern side of Ring Road, and is entered from Ring Road. City Road and the road continuing south of it remain.
