The Daily — a free Use of English puzzle

Four gaps a day, one from each part of the Cambridge Use of English paper: a multiple-choice cloze, an open cloze, a word formation and a key word transformation. Everyone at your level gets the same four, and a new Daily starts every day.

It takes about two minutes and needs no account. Once you have played you see the answers with explanations, how everyone else did on each gap, and your streak.

Levels

Choose B2 First (FCE), C1 Advanced (CAE) or C2 Proficiency (CPE). Key word transformations follow the exam: two to six words at B2 and C1, three to eight at C2.
